The "pulera", typical Aeolian columns, are an architectural element of the houses, they are positioned on the terrace around the house.
Characteristic the wooden beams that held up, and still hold up, cane mats.
The structure of wooden beams resting on the "pulera" is called " loggia", this last is covered with reeds and consits in the roof of the terrace.
